Hi,
we are using a MSSQL DataSource. A new created User cannot connect to this Datasource, RDM shows an Error:

Unable to save the User in the database! Cannot insert Value NULL in IsTemplate-Row, RDM.dbo.UserInfo-Table. The Row does not allow NULL Values. Error at INSERT.

We use 10.6.7.0.

Any Ideas?

best regards

Topic "Changing RDP Quickconnect default options" a message from Groumy

Hi,

I use Remote Desktop Manager mainly with the quick connect feature. I'd like though to be able to set the &quotWindows key on the remote computer&quot setting at &quoton&quot by default.

Right now, if I perform a Quick Connect that feature is always at off and even if I enable it through the &quotAction&quot pane in the ribbon it doesn't work.

Thx

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if you could create a dark theme for the next RDM version. The current layout has a lot of white. Enabling a dark theme will reduce eye strain when sitting at the monitor for extended periods.

Thanks

Hey everyone,

Well, if there was any lingering doubt that geeks like to enjoy an “adult beverage” now and then, the July pollput that permanently to rest — because we received lots of great responses and some interesting ideas, too.

To recap, last month we asked you to tell us your favorite summer drink. Some of the responses included:Limoncello, Panaché, Leinie’s Summer Shandy, and Mojito. And there were also some classic non-alcoholic favorites, like a freshly-squeezed concoction of carrots, ginger and apples (uhh…we aren’t so sure about this, but hey, we’ll try anything once!).

And then of course there was our Marketing Director Max who chimed in with “bacon vodka martini”, which we thought was a joke until we saw that he added a link. Believe it or not, but this is actually a real drink:http://www.bakonvodka.com. Wow. Has anyone out there tried this!?

Topic "Shared Connections no longer loading in 1.6.1.0" a message from fmorriso

As of version 1.6.1.0, the shared connections XML file that I keep on OneDrive is no longer being automatically loaded on my Windows 8.1 Update 1 64-bit laptop.

There is no &quotcreate new data source&quot (perhaps locally) option to help me work-around this issue.

What can I do to fix this?

I'm evaluating 10.9.7.0 and am also getting a number of these errors:
"Forwarded port closed due to local error: Network error: Windows error code 0 (and FormatMessage returned 122)"
Sometimes they cause failure sometimes not.

Also of note, when I tried setting up the new SSH Tunnel option I attempted to authorize the connection using a private key in my credential repository. Although this key worked for the built in SSH connections it would not work for the SSH Tunnel. The key was originally from a pri file. When I opened this and re-saved it as a ppk file and then loaded it as a new credential in the credential repository, the new credential worked.

Hi Devolutions Team and Forum members,

I added a RD Gateway and added the RDP Gateway Address together with my credentials.
When I click connect nothing happens.

I tried the servername and the full RDP GW Address.
Both didn´t worked.

Any Idea? Any Documentation for this?

Thanks in advance... Andy

Topic "Barracuda NG Firewall Add-on" a message from Byron Edmonds

Good Evening,
I am trying to use the RDM add-on for Barracuda NG firewall.
If I understand the article about it correctly it should fire up the Barracuda NG Admin client on my PC as an external application.
I downloaded the latest version (6.1.1.82) and pointed the NG Firewall add-on at the folder the .exe is located in; however instead of loging me in I receive an RDM error to the effect of &quotUnable to find Barracuda NG Firewall executable!!!&quot.
I'm guessing I have to name the .exe a certain way for this to work. So my question is......what do I need to name the .exe. file?
I couldn't find anything in the online help and a forum search for &quotbarracuda&quot also left me non the wiser.
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Byron Edmonds

Topic "Import sessions from MobaXterm" a message from

Hi Louis-Philippe.

I've been very busy but I've seen the MobaXterm Add-on, so today I've tried to import sessions and, yes, there is an option to import sessions from MobaXterm... ¡¡Thank you!!

Now, I suggest a few improvements:
1) Last version of MobaXterm keeps sessions in a file MobaXterm.ini by default (you can't export sessions, but copying .ini file will be enough). It includes some information about recent opened sessions, windows position, etc, but at least they use the same format for folders/sessions.
I try to import sessions from an ini file (changing its extension to .mxtsessions) and it works like a charm smile
So I suggest modify the combo with "files to import" from .mxtsessions to .ini (or both extensions).

2) The passwords .txt file, could it be optional? At this moment, I only have the .ini file (sessions), my colleague forgot to export passwords from his PC, so I've had to create an empty txt file to check the import (and with an empty file, it works!).
So I suggest that passwords file import could be optional, if we have it, ok, RDM imports the file, but if we haven't it, RDM only imports sessions, without password configured.

Thank you very much.
Best Regards.

Entering ..

Driver={SQL Server Native Client 11.0};Server=Server1;Database=DB1;Uid=user1;Pwd=pwd1;

.. yields an "invalid connection strong specified" error.

Would you mind giving an example of what to enter there so that I know for sure?

Under data source settings > Security > Force Application Security with Windows Credentials is unchecked.

And then for the Datasource itself, I have the name, the path to our RDMS server, and %username% for Username and password seems to have something in it, but it doesn't have the "Always ask for Password" checked, which is weird, because I feel like I checked that box.

Maurice, just wanted to check and see if you confirmed the ability to save passwords in groups and via batch edit in sessions even after disabling saving of shared passwords.

Topic "Roaming user favorites" a message from Bradley Munsen

For some reason, it appears that &quotlocal&quot favorites are actually local to a specific machine, not just the individual user. Favorites unique to a specific local machine are of limited use to my organization. We need user-specific favorites that are available to that user from any machine they connect from, as RDM is operating in a terminal server environment, and local favorites would keep changing depending on what server in the farm we get logged into via a load balancer. If this could be included in the upcoming 11.0 release, that would be great!

Checking for the latest version (from within RDM 10.9.7.0) reports that it is up to date. It isn't detecting that the 10.9.8.0 BETA is available (and the website show 10.9.7.0 BETA). Also the forum thread posting titled Remote Desktop Manager 11 Beta shows the 10.9.8.0 BETA link in the first post in that thread from 05/20/15 and also at the end of the thread in the most recent post from today (it looks like the first post in the thread was edited).

Hi

Im using
RDM Version: v10.6.7.0
.Net Runtim: v4.0.30319
Remote Desktop: 6.3.9600.16415
OS: Windows 7 SP1 Ent x64

Having issues with copying passwords out of keepass into RDM after the RDP session is locked.

the scenario goes like tthis:
1. I open RDP session to the server & i get a popup where i can paste the credentials from keepass without a problem
2. RDP session becomes locked-out after disuse
3. I try to log into locked RDP session. But there is no pop-up box and i cannot copy-paste from keepass. I must type out the password instead

Is there any way of ensuring that i can copy paste my password in step 3
