Hello,
Is it possible to have a substitution solution to the microsoft suite, you have libre office, open office etc...
Actually, i can't open directly the documents in RDM because i become a message that microsoft office isn't installed, but in my case i have libre office.
Thanks

Hi,
We'je just deployed our Devolutions Server, authentication is based on a AD group (not a nested one).
Five persons are in the group, everything goes fine for four of them but the fifth cannot.
Same error on RDM and on the web interface, we have deleted and re-created the user. It works for a while and finally the error came back.
Any idea to help us ?
Devolutions Server 4.0.7 (same on 4.0.6)
RDM 12.0.8
Thanks a lot !

Hello,
We know that DVLS has become harder to manage over the last upgrades, therefore we offer remote sessions to perform the upgrades with you.
Just contact us support@devolutions.net for details.
We much rather prefer to plan the upgrade, rather than having your system unusable.
Hello
We use Lastpass at the moment for all credentials with our Remote Server Logins.
Since a few months, Lastpass has a lot of problems (attacks) like today, so it's not working, that's why we are looking for a new solution.
What would you recommend, when we want the following features:
- Database on our server (SQL for example)
- Everything encrypted in the DB
- Access via Browser Plugin
- Adding of new Logins via Browser
- Editing of Credentials via Browser
- Mobile Apps for iOS and Android
- Fully compatible with RDM
- Not showing passwords for some users, just be able to use them.
- Sharing of credentials from the main admin with other users
- Import of Lastpass credentials
I'm not sure if Password Vault Manager covers all this or KeePass? Especially the mobile part, were we want to access our database also from on the road. So there should be an easy and secure way to do that with the new solution.
Thanks for a good Tip.
Best regards.
Patrick
I have earlier tried to add "Remote host" and "Remote port" as variables, where the remote host name/ip and remote port are "forwarded" to the "SSH Tunnel" session before opening it as a gateway. Then it would work from any sessions using the "SSH Tunnel" as gateway.
If this was possible, then "SSH Tunnel" would be enough for me i think, but it would also require devolutions to open mulitple sessions of the same "SSH Tunnel" and also require the "SSH Tunnel" to use dynamic port selection for my Local port on each remote session opened.
It would allow me to have only one "SSH Tunnel" configured for all sessions on the specific network, but using it now, I have to configure 1 "SSH Tunnel" for each remote session I need to tunnel through a gateway.
(I have tried "SSH Port Forward" type using $PARENT_HOST$, but it requires one port pr. host statically configured and when opening a session using the "SSH Port Forward" session as gateway, it does create the port forward, but RDM tries to connect to the HOST ip, not localhost as expected)

Hi Christopher,
There is a security issue to create a command in PowerShell that returns the password as secure string to an user that shouldn't be able to view the password because there are ways to convert the secure string variable as string and be able to view the password.
Here's a way:
$Ptr = [System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal]::SecureStringToCoTaskMemUnicode($secureString)
$result = [System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal]::PtrToStringUni($Ptr)
[System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal]::ZeroFreeCoTaskMemUnicode($Ptr)
$result
Is this a change in a recent version because RDM keeps popping up on some key sequences when I'm pretty sure it's not in focus. Dual monitors as well.
I have a bizarre situation where only ONE user is not able to log in to RDMS using their AD credentials.
Normally the user just logs in and their account is automatically created, but I've clicked on "Import Users" in DVLS to try and manually import them and they are not in the list of users. All of the other users from the same OU are in the list, however.
Is there something in particular that a user needs to have?
Could you verify the sizing mode in File->Options
Can anyone tell me what this error means? I am attempting to connect to a Cisco ISR 4331 C.U.B.E router.

I can connect fine with Putty, but I get the above error when attempting to use SSH Shell (Rebex) from within RDM.
There is certain characters that can be confused with each other i.e
O and 0 [Oscar and Zero]
1 and I [India and One]
l and | [Lima and | ]
It would be nice if in the password generator one can either have the option to avoid having these characters next to each other. In Keepass the option is called “Exclude look-alike characters”
Since running 12.0.8.0 and needing to change my NT password, the SSH Port Forward won't accept 'My personal credentials' anymore and generates the above error, but if I use embedded (username/password) then it takes them fine.
Hi,
i trie to use the powershell cmdlets :
Get-RDMSession , if use it alone directly in a PS , a list with my all item appear.
But if i want to filter it with this command:
Get-RDMSession | where {$_.Session.Kind -eq "Computer"}
or
Get-RDMSession | where {$_.Session.Kind -eq "Host"}
or
Get-RDMSession | where {$_.Session.Kind -eq "Contact"}
nothing appear, only the prompt ......
In RDM Base , i have 6684 entries with computer , contact etc..
And my version is 12.0.8.0
How i can filter the output of Get-RDMSession ????
best regards
Vincent
Hello,
we think we have found the issue.
It was the Datasource configuration -> Advanced -> Ping online method
The ping online method was set to Web Request - we set it to none and the error gone.
Any idea why "ping online method" causes this error?
Best regards
Martin
Hello,
Could you go in File -> My Data Source Information and put your mouse on the last word at the end of the Offline mode line.
This will display a tool tip box. I want you post a print screen of that tool box as well as a print screen of the My Data Source Information report.
Here's an example
With this information, I will try to reproduce your issue internally.
Best regards,
A new build should be out within the next few days. I will keep you posted.
Best regards,
Supposedly the new RDM 12 client and PowerShell will support unattended execution of RDM scripts without a UI? Looking for an example of this to be able to update my RDM client scripts.
I'm currently on 12.0.5.0 and when I try to update to the last version, the app just crashes.
The download window opens and then windows says the program stopped working and just shuts it down.
Hi,
We create an ics file. I'm not sure if it's possible to specify a calendar. I will have to verify.
