Sorry for the delay, I didn't see your answer.
The database doesn't have to be configured in RDM or if you configured it for a specific reason, just check Always Ask username and Always Ask Password. So with this, the user doesn't have the access to the database. Also the user with whom you are login in, should not have administrator right to the database.

I'll ping you if it seems to continue. I know in some cases it does so I need to figure out when and where and document it.
I have found one of the issues with FireFox Developer. There is a FF option to allow Developer and regular FF to run at the same time. This creates separate profiles for the two versions of the app and RDM cannot locate the proper profile details to know the extension is installed.
I saw this in one of the beta versions but then it went away in a more recent beta. With 12.5.0.0 (production) when I open new RDP sessions the session screen is blank. The sessions are there, because eventually I can get them to sort of show up by enabling the Grouped Tab Bar (I normally disable this), then clicking the All tab (not the customer-specific tab).
Then I can turn off Grouped Tab Bar and the sessions stay visible, but only until I go and open a new session. Then they are all hidden again.
BTW would be REALLY nice to be able to copy and paste images right into the forum here, or at least have an upload option... currently I have to get screenshot, paste into OneNote, save as file, upload to some public location, and post a link here... that's a huge stumbling block that probably stops a lot of folks from providing much better, richer forum posts.

I was in the Application Data\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager folder and noticed ten or more folders that contain a playlist folder and some of them a file offline.mcdf2
Should the application remove these when I restart it and cancel the previous connections prompt?
When I receive the message that the connection is currently in use by another user, it would be nice to have a notify option.
When the connection is no longer in use, I receive a pop up to notify me that the connection is free.

I use a surface4 pro with a surface dock and to external screens When I connect to a windows 2012 rdp session with remote deskop manager on an external screen everthing works fine. but if I use it on my surface display then it looks like what is shown on the attached file. The window is not active I can not click on anthing in it, dragging the application to an external screen solves the problem. But this is not much help when I'm onsite at customers. I am running the latest version og Windows creator edition and I have tried using the disable high dpi menu option but it does not help. I am pretty certian that this has worked before but not in the last two weeks. I do not have the problem with windows 2008 sessions

Is this configurable yet? We're using version 12.0.8.0 64-bit.
How do you know if you're using Putty or Native SSH?
I've just upgraded to v 12.5.1.0, and it seems like my SSH connections aren't using my private key loaded in via the integrated Key Agent (which is running).
Instead, I'm now getting prompted for a user account password, instead of just using my private key (which was working fine beforehand).
The remote server (Linux) only registers the password auth .method in /var/log/secure (not an invalid key, for example), but RDM logs for the key entry claim key auth was used...
Please advise.

Now I tried the same for the VSphere client but I have the same problem as the user here:

yes it looks like so.. and therefore the name of the entry are always displayed in lowercase when the variable $HOST$ is used. Maybe for a single connection it makes no difference, but we have templates where the parent is a Web Browser Entry with some sub connections like SSH, SCP etc.. and if for the sub`s the variable $PARENT_HOST$ is used for the names, all names are in lowercase - no chance to change it to uppercase (with the variable variant)..
I can send you a .rdm entry from one of the mentioned templates if you would..
