I have a template setup for making ssh connections to our VMWare hosts. This template works as expected using the following steps:
- find a host in my Navigation bar,
- right click the host,
- select Actions -> open from template,
- select the SSH Vmware template.
However if I do this through the Quick View dialog box it fails with error: "Unable to connect. Verify your settings. Port is out of range of valid values. Parameter name: serverPort Actual value was 0."
- use the Edit menu -> Quick View dialog box,
- type in the server name
- select the SSH VMware template from the list
- click go button
In reviewing the template settings, the port is set to 22. See attached images for some more details.
I'm running RDM version 8.0.18.0 [beta]. I have not tried this in the current production release, but I presume it would work the same way.
