Topic "List and control vm guest on VmWare ESXi 5.1" a message from mpoirier

Hi,
I'm trying to gain a list of running virtual machine on a ESXi host using the VMWare Console session tools.
I provided the IP, root & password info in the session tools. When a I double-clic I get a empty Guest list and when I click the refresh button near the host name a get the following error message: &quotUnable to Connect to VMware host&quot error message.

Is the session tools compatible with ESXi 5.x?
Does some pre-config must be performed on the ESXi 5.x host?

I want to be able to Power On, Power Off, Suspend, Shut down, etc.. guess OSs running on a ESXi 5.x.
