Topic "Using terminal server as stepping stone" a message from jan-pieter

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to login to a windows terminal server and using the terminal server credentials connecting directly to another server.
Is this possbile.

I have tried setting up a connection to the terminal server and stating &quotmstsc.exe /v:$CUSTOM_FIELD1$&quot in the program tab (with CUSTOM_FIELD1 holding the server to connect to on the terminal server). This (most of the times) opens mstc on the terminal server but I can't auto-login as mstsc doesn't have options to state userid and password (I tried cmdkey ... & mstsc.exe .. but that doesn't seem to work at all). And after logging off from the (second) server the session on the terminal server only shows an &quotempty&quot screen (no icons, no taskbar etc.) and I'm not able to log off from the terminal server not even via rright clicking the session tab and stating logoff (removing the session using the X may cause a new connection not to work as it probably takes over this &quotempty&quot session not starting the program mstsc ...

Is this possible at all or am I trying something RDM is not intended for wink

Regards,
Jan-Pieter
