You know what's strange. When I use RDM to open a vSphere session, everything works fine (it opens, logs in, etc.). However, when I go and launch the vSphere client and use the drop down in the vSphere client to select my server to log in to, there is an extra entry added in my server list. It only happens when I use RDM to open a vSphere session.
The server settings are stored in the registry under HKCU\Software\VMware\VMware Infrastructure Client\Preferences\RecentConnections
The registry entry is string data and for some reason, RDM inserts an extra , (comma) into the registry (which causes the vSphere client to produce a blank server entry in the list). You can manually delete the extra comma in the registry and the blank server goes away.
I'm just trying to figure this one out. Does RDM try to open two vSphere sessions when opening a session?
Thanks in advance
