Hi Andre,
I am having problems with the Barracuda Addon.
With a plain useraccount I always get the message "VPN Profile xyz not found"
In the Barracuda client itself the plain user can establish the connection like a charm.
When connecting as local Admin I could establish the connection thru RDM Addon also.
RDM is 8.2 with latest Addon 2.4.2.0 installed.
It seems that there is a problem with the kind of connection via vpn.exe.
When I manually try to execute the command as shown when "show command" is checked in the addon I get the same error.
After invoking vpn.exe without parameter the connection starts to connect.
Just tried to give the plain user registry rights on the phionvpn subkey and everything works fine.
Can connect via vpn.exe and can connect via RDM addon!!
This startetd as a "something is wrong" and went to "I fixed it".
So, if anyone is trying to work with least privilege - give your plain users rights to the subkey
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Phion\phionvpn
I would recommend to Barracuda to code that part according to windows guidelines and either route the part thru the service that is already in place or use HKLM for machine-wide configurations and leave HKU\.DEFAULT alone because this seems to be a real ugly hack.
best regards
