Hello all!
Has this actually ever been solved? I'm still having issues ... Here's my setup:
- Dual 4k monitors, both set to scale 175%
- RDM Enterprise Edition 12.0.8.0
- Connecting mostly to Windows Server 2012 R2
My issues:
- "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" checked: The GUI, as well as the RDP connections are crystal clear and sharp. The GUI also scales correctly, is the same size just as any other application, and is easy readable. But inside the RDP connection it does not scale correctly, everything is very small and hard to read.
- "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" unchecked: The GUI, as well as the RDP connections are blurry, NOT sharp. The GUI and the RDP connections scale correctly and are in normal, good readable size, but blurry ...
My desired result:
The GUI as well as the RDP connections should be crystal clear and sharp, as well as the scaling should work for both, the GUI and the RDP connections.
What do I have to change to get the desired result?
Best regards,
Max
Today one of our users was complaining again on this issue and I have had this some weeks ago too. Never spent much time on it and therefore never searched the forum.
We don't have had too much complaints and it is very hard to reproduce.
It seems when you double click an entry and move the mouse (quickly) away another entry (you at that time are hoovering over) is "started".
Hello,
To keep everybody in following about this topic, the path of the certificate had to be in the same folder as the .ovpn.
The type of configuration bellow isn't supported.
Best Regards,
The ability to change displays from the other end is a must have feature,
use case:
i connect to a users PC and they walk away, windows gets opened on another display, i have no idea or way to access it because i cant change displays.
+1 must have
Hi all,
Good news I've started on the SQL Azure + Azure AD Authentication.
Login is working with SQL Server Data Source. Next up is user management issues encountered while logged in with AD Auth users.
Here is a screen shot:
Does any of you connect using "Active Directory Integrated", we have not been able to test this scenario. I'm hoping you of you could help us test it when time comes.
Best regards,
Hello,
You mentioned that with a new KeePass database, the issue was also present. Could you send me this test database at support@devolutions.net so that I can test it in our environment to see if I can reproduce your issue.
Best regards,
Hi,
In the next build there should be an icon in the status bar when a VPN is connected.

In the past, you had to buy a separate license to get RDM Jump. Well, here’s a Christmas gift that is about 1000x better than a pair of socks or an ugly sweater: RDM Jump is now fully integrated in the new version of Remote Desktop Manager!
RDM Jump connects to a remote host — often called a Jump Box or a Service Host — which in turn is used to connect to other hosts. It’s similar to Microsoft’s RD Gateway. This is a great tool if you’re a mobile/remote worker and can’t always access a private network. Now, you simply connect via a Jump host, and everything is secure and locked down — which means you can work from home, your favorite coffee shop…anywhere you wish!

Hi!
As you know I use your product RDM maybe from Version 1.0 or 2.0 :-)
I love it!
I want to try to use even to store WEB URL Session related to SAP Support portal (Or similar).
Due to the fact I manage a lot of SAP customers credentials, I need a mechanism to logon to SAP support portal with the right credential.
The problem is that sap support portal is a entry point and After the first login you a re asked several time to insert the same user and password during the navigation (this is because you pass through different web server I suppose).
My question is, can RDM can be used for this porpouse ?
Can RDM use the same credential stored into the Web URL session, for example, at every login request the website ask for ??
If My question is not clear we can have a call or a live session where I can show my problem...

Hi all!
I would like to suggest RDM to be a bit more user friendly.
What often happens:
You work in the office with a connected datasource. Around 5 pm you quickly grab your laptop (let is sleep) and go home....
When after having given yourself a moment to grab a bite and spend some quality time you decide to continue were you left off.
So you open up your laptop, let it come out of it's very small hibernation and the first thing that pops up are the error messages from Remote Desktop Manager.... *sigh*
So twice"The remote name could not be resolved:"
Then "DVSL server is not responding"
After that offline mode is not even automatically activated. (this might be something else, so the attention has to go to the messages)
What I would suggest is that RDM has an icon on the right side of the status bar that shows the RDM networking status. This could be offline, online or disconnected. And that RDM does not show all the error messages. Just automatically go into offline mode or if one would not have offline licensed, show a disconnected icon.
If people have issues, the errors could be found in the log, or add an option to enable the messages from appearing. (just for testing sake)
Any thoughts on this?
One other thing; When you disconnect from the network, RDP sessions (mstsc) will try 20 times to reconnect. RDM uses this feature as well. I know that in the RDP file you can change this with the setting 'autoreconnect max retries:i:10'. Can this be leveraged somehow within RDM? So that in case of the example above, all sessions are just gone in RDM without all the RDP disconnect errors.
Please add folder redirection permissions to RDP connections.
Example:
Folder /users/brose/Downloads/ I would like to share as read-only
Folder /Users/brose/RDP/ I would like to share as read+write
This is for RDP connections that "redirect local resources" under "Redirect specific folders"
Being able to specify read, write is important as there are connections where I don't want to have write access by a remote Windows system to the MacOS file system.
Hello,
I've started to deploy RDMS out to our staff. I've built a custom installer, so everyone has the same settings and data sources, but I have a couple of users who get "DVLS Server not responding" when they try and connect to the server.
10 users have installed the app, and 3 people are having this error, the other 7 do not and they are all connected to the same switch. The users that are unable to connect can telnet to the DVLS server on port 443 and are able to browse to the devolutions website.
Any suggestions?

I indeed don't have the Uuid field, none of my credentials have got it.
I also tested by changing the user specific setting to a keepass db and also inserting the username and password directly in the credential entry, but that still results in the same error.
Kind regards
Dieter
Text Sessions info is shown in the embedded browser but show up blank when you open the session.
Running version 12.0.8.0 , but it has been this for serveral versions back.
Using a very older version it works fine so I guess it is because "Text session" has been swap out with "Add document"
Is there a way to convert these old entries or other fix other tha recreating them all ?
Please add possibility to allow users to export their Private Vault, without allowing them to export from the shared vault in the data source.
We need this so our users can export their private credentials, for safe keeping every now and then.
But we don't wish to allow users to export from the shared vault.
(same goes for import)

Sorry for late reply...
We are now running RDM 12.0.2.0 64-bit
Devolutions Server 4.0.3 (data source type)
Linux: Putty (Telnet, SSH, RAW, rLogin) -> SSH Shell (Rebex)
Windows: Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDP)
I can't replicate the symptom when using the "SSH Shell" session type, but we don't use this session type, as it never closes the session tab automatically when logging out of the ssh session.
